Tuna safari

- with M/S Vike

Now Hartford Rederi AB starts Tonfisk Safari, departing from Helsingborg. The North Atlantic bluefin tuna is back in Öresund, and in large numbers! Seeing these giants up close in our waters is absolutely fantastic. The fish can be several meters long and weigh up to 6-700 kg. It is true acting to see them wildly jumping on the surface, a memory for life!

We continuously publish tours and booking is done on our websites.

A unique
experience

You have the best chance of seeing tuna in relatively calm weather, which is precisely why we post our tours at “short notice” so we know we can offer the right weather conditions. We also run when it rains, so bring your clothes according to the weather.

The chance to see tuna
We can never guarantee that our customers will see tuna, but with our experience we estimate that there is up to an 80-90% chance of seeing them. There is also a good chance of seeing porpoises. Something we can guarantee is that you will have a great trip on the Öresund!

How does it work

01

Book

Press the "BOOK" button and you will be taken to our booking page. You can easily make your reservation here. You pay directly via Klarna, or you choose a 30-day invoice. You can also come as a "drop-in" and pay on board (subject to space, pre-booked have priority)

02

Come to the dock

The boat departs from Kungstorget 2 in Helsingborg, right outside the Marina Plaza hotel. When you board the ship, the crew scans your QR codes. If you are "drop in", you let us know and pay on board. NOTE that sometimes m/s Vike has several departures on the same day. Then the ship comes in and changes passengers right at the "departure time"

03

Experience something unique

Once you are on board, the experience begins. Sometimes the tuna are right outside the harbor and sometimes we have to drive a little further. The crew always do their utmost to give the passengers the best possible experience. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask the crew. Seeing these magnificent fish on film and photos is one thing, but seeing them jump live is magical!
